Passport fraud is the 'biggest threat facing the world', claims Interpol

Millions of stolen passports are being fraudulently used by terrorist, drug smugglers and human traffickers to travel the globe in the ‘biggest threat facing the world’, according to Interpol.

Heightened airport security such as body scanners are also a ‘misguided solution’ in deterring criminals, the international police agency chief has said.

Secretary-General of Interpol Ronald Noble spoke out at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland yesterday.

He revealed there are more than 11million passports currently listed as missing or stolen.
